About Me
Do you know who Ebony is?
A few years ago, as I began to update my personal social media pages, I looked at my friend/follower list and saw faces that I had not talked to or seen in years or some not at all. They only knew of my husband and kids through pictures. They only saw certain accomplishments and awards if I posted them. Then I searched and could not find a time that I posted pictures while in the process of working and especially not during the moments of failing. These were silent/reflective moments only known by God and a few others.
This contemplation produced my first "aha moment" which led me to question if anyone really knows who I am. An even deeper awakening of sorts, led me to question if I, myself, know who I truly am. Why did I have successes in certain areas but lacked the sense of fulfillment in those same areas? Why was I not finding success in the areas that I felt strongly would make me have a sense of fulfillment? I was approached several times and asked to partner to start and/or help run business ventures. I was Counselor and Educator helping students decide and work out their future goals by following the plans of the institution.
So here arose my second "aha moment": I didn't want to run a business birthed from someone else's passion, I was more than satisfied helping them transform their dream into reality and watching them run it successfully.
Then my third "aha moment": I did not want to be bound by an institution that limits how much and how often you could help someone. To me, coaching is not about paving out a success pathway, in a few sessions, and sending people skipping away with a paper map and hopes that they will make it to their destination.
Coaching is like that GPS voice that shows you the best possible routes while also letting you make the decision of which one you want to use. That same voice, though silent, remains in the background prepared to help you make adjustments to the route in case of sudden mishaps. The very best part is that this is not just a one destination system; as in life, we all have several destinations in mind that will give us not only success but a sense of fulfillment as well. You will be transformed through as you travel and arrive at each of these destinations. You do not have to do it alone, you can have a coach and transformational leader.
That's who Ebony is! I am that Coach! I am that Transformational Leader!
